Elementary Music Teacher Blueprint

Are you new to teaching elementary music?

Do you feel like you’re struggling as a new elementary music teacher?
Teaching elementary music is hard, and you honestly may not realize just how hard it is when you’re first starting out.
You know all about music, and heck probably even hold a music education degree, but wish there was a step by step approach to teaching elementary music.
You were thrown into your classroom and have all of these little faces looking at you just waiting for you to teach them music, but you just don’t know where to begin.
You want to ask for help, but have no connections with other music teachers, since you’re just starting out, so you kind of just fake it til ya make it.
I’ve been there and done that and I know exactly all the feelings, worries, and frustrations you’re feeling.

Hi, I’m Jessica.

If you’re feeling frustrated as a new elementary music teacher, I know exactly how you feel.

When I started teaching elementary music, I felt like I was in way over my head.

I was at a low income school that hadn’t had music for 7 years, had no curriculum or instruments, started in the middle of the school year, and had a mentor teacher who knew nothing about music.

I put in the hard work, and helped my students develop a love for music.  During my second year of teaching, I earned the Teacher of the Year and Teacher of Today awards.

I’ve been exactly where you are and am so excited to offer you the support that’s lacking for new elementary music teachers.

After mentoring several teachers and students teachers in real life, this is my way of mentoring as many new teachers as I can online.
